The Ion Onyx Core Semidry wetsuit with a chest zip, offering a 5/4mm thickness, serves as an ideal all-around solution for watersports such as kitesurfing, surfing, wakeboarding, windsurfing, and SUP (Stand Up Paddling). It provides excellent mobility, particularly in the arms and legs where it is most required. In addition to keeping you warm in cold waters, it also offers protection against wind chill.
Inside, the wetsuit is lined on the chest with Ion’s Hot Stuff lining, ensuring your comfort.
The knee areas have extra protection with Supra Tex nylon, a highly abrasion-resistant fabric, enhancing durability and better safeguarding the suit against wear. Moreover, comfort and flexibility are improved as the collar, wrists, knees, and elbows have a contour cut to align with the body's natural shapes. A key pocket is positioned on the inside of the chest.
According to Ion’s general guide (subject to individual variation), this wetsuit is deemed appropriate for temperatures ranging from 32°F to 48°F.

Aqua-A is a water-based glue free of solvents, used in all Ion wetsuits.
To bolster stress points inside the wetsuit, Ion has integrated Melco tape for added durability. Ion advises: “If you accidentally leave the suit in your car trunk on a hot day, the tape might begin to peel. Don't worry! Simply glide an iron over the area as the adhesive reactivates with heat.”
Wetsuits designed to follow body contours, thereby enhancing flexibility and comfort. Each wetsuit from Ion is equipped with a contour cut.
Drain holes are positioned to prevent water from accumulating where fabrics overlap. These holes are designed to remain the same size.
Within the wetsuit, there's an internal pocket that can securely hold keys, resisting water exposure.

To ensure panels of neoprene are bonded efficiently for superior water resistance, gluing is combined with blind stitch sewing the panels together.
