What Are Pro Scooter Bars?

Pro scooter bars are a crucial component of your scooter setup. They come in various sizes and designs to match your height and riding style. Made from aluminum, steel, or titanium, aluminum bars are light and ideal for tricks, steel bars are heavier but more durable, and titanium bars offer a balance of lightness and durability.

How Tall Should Scooter Bars Be?

Choosing the right bar height affects your scooter's feel while riding. While bar height is a personal preference, the best experience usually comes when the bar reaches between your thighs and navel. Some pro riders prefer higher bars for enhanced stability and control.

Scooter bar diameter can be standard or oversized. Standard bars have an outer diameter of 32 mm and an inner diameter of 28 mm. Oversized bars have an outer diameter of 35 mm and an inner diameter of either 28 mm or 32 mm. If the inner diameter is 28 mm, it will only work with IHC forks. Y-Bar or T-Bar for Scooters

Scooter bars come in two main designs: Y-bar and T-bar. Generally, Y-bars, often made from aluminum, are preferred for park scootering, while T-bars, typically made from steel, are used for street riding. Y-bars consist of three or more welded pieces, whereas T-bars are made up of two pieces, with some having crossbar reinforcements for added durability.

Some trick scooter bars feature a back sweep, where the bar is bent at a backward angle, similar to many bike handlebars. The choice of a pro scooter bar with or without a back sweep is a matter of personal preference.
