Topaz Roller Derby Skates

Sitting just above the middle of the Chaya range of Derby specialized quad skates, you'll find the Topaz skates. They present an excellent platform to enhance the development of your skills without straining your budget. The exciting part is that if you decide Roller Derby is your calling, you can upgrade components like the plate, wheels, and other parts for a more personalized touch and improved quality.

The boot is designed with a low-slung profile similar to a sneaker, encased in Polyurethane Nano Leather that is both soft to the touch and resistant to wear from contact, such as with Derby rink floors or other derby players. The Poron/EVA padding is extremely soft and comfortable, allowing for long days of skating with minimal to zero discomfort. To improve the fit, Chaya has made the boot and liner fully heat-mouldable to achieve that second-skin feel. It features a low cut for optimal manoeuvrability.

For the Topaz, Chaya has selected their Zena plates. These are super durable, lightweight, and compatible with Chaya's unique Dual Centre Mounting, allowing you to angle the boot to your specific riding style on top of the plate. The Power toe system provides greater power, speed, and control while maintaining a slight pre-tension in your muscles, enabling quick reactions and instantaneous direction changes.

The trucks are crafted from aluminium and have a 20° angle.

The Octo Edge wheels are wide and grippy, featuring a 92A durometer.

The Chaya Cherry Bomb toe-stopper provides extra control and manoeuvrability. The semi-soft Jelly Interlock bushings offer a balance between comfort and control. The Wicked ABEC7 bearings ensure an effortless roll speed.
