SHELL
The X-Tech shell is crafted with both strength and support as fundamental aspects. Its distinct sportive appearance sets it apart. Composed of a unique composite material, it is incredibly stiff due to the inclusion of 25% fibreglass. This makes the shell notably strong and supportive. It features a 195mm mounting distance with an X-slot allowing side, front, and rear adjustments of all frames to achieve an ideal skating position for everyone. The base is ventilated and showcases the X design to ensure torsional stiffness and optimal power transfer with each stride.
CUFF
The X-Tech cuff, adjustable for support, is constructed from a unique composite material, enhanced with 25% fibreglass for exceptional stiffness. It also includes an aluminium side stride bar for added reinforcement. The cuff's forward flex can be altered around the hinge area, allowing sportive skaters more flexibility towards the front and rear, while intermediate skaters can reduce the flex for additional support and a less deep skating stance. Furthermore, the cuff's height can be adjusted to offer more or less support, depending on preference. The buckle utilises a sleek and stylish fast lock mechanism.
PADDING
This skate features a two-part construction. The lower section is crafted like a shoe, providing excellent rear fit to prevent heel movement. The upper section is a flexible cuff with dense padding that snugly wraps around the leg, offering significant support while permitting freedom of movement. The tongue padding is 3-D shaped to follow the foot's contour.
LACING
This model boasts a high-grade PU upper. It incorporates a speedy lacing system with woven loops, ensuring quick and effective lacing. The open sidewall and exceptional two-part design offer optimal ventilation and comfort coupled with a snug fit. Superior stitching quality and meticulous attention to detail, enhanced with a rear carrying strap, complete this remarkable skate. The upper is directly attached to the shell, maximizing power transfer and enhancing foot support and stability. This Shell Connected Construction (SCC) significantly improves the skate's manoeuvrability.
FRAME
The XC Path frame is a single-piece frame, CNC precision-machined from a solid, robust extrusion. This frame sets a new benchmark, being strong, stiff, responsive, and lightweight. The XC Path frame supports two mounting distance standards: 165mm and 195mm, allowing for compatibility with various overboots if needed. The frame offers the possibility to adjust the wheel position, allowing skaters to stand either closer to or further from the ground. The XC Path comes equipped with 8mm axles and integrated frame spacers, ensuring optimal roll straight from the box without requiring extra parts. We offer the frames in two sizes: 17.7” / 450mm suited for shoe sizes up to 41 EU, and 20.2” / 514mm suitable for size 42 and above.
TIRES & BEARINGS
The skate incorporates Powerslide Rustproof bearings, which are lubricated with light grease. These bearings feature serviceable shields, a robust composite cage, and 7 precisely honed steel balls for a smooth, seamless roll. Special coatings on raceways and balls prevent corrosion. The 6 ¼” air tires are produced by Kenda, a renowned tire manufacturer, featuring a durable 5-spoke rim. The valve area is protected by rim tape, commonly used in bicycle tires. The robust rubber outer layer, with its off-road profile, ensures excellent grip and longevity. Tires are inflatable up to 6.3bar / 90 psi. We also provide 150mm Super High Rebound PU wheels for skaters favouring paved roads for greater speed.
BRAKE
The Powerslide calf brake offers extensive adjustability for personalized preferences and skating skill enhancement, ensuring the skater feels secure with optimal braking performance. The brake pad can be adjusted in every direction and altered in angle. The height adjustment feature allows skaters to find their preferred braking stance, whether with straighter or more bent legs. When worn, the brake pad's angle can be refined to maintain the best braking point, enhancing safety and security. The pad is easily replaceable when necessary. The soft pad, when tightened to the leg, is height adjustable and can be moved forwards or backwards. The skate is equipped with a single brake system. Skaters have the option to reposition the brake to the opposite side, or acquire an additional brake system for the second skate, should they feel more secure with dual brakes.
