Onyx Core Shorty 2mm Chestzip 2018 Wetsuit

Onyx Core Shorty is a wetsuit with a thickness of 2mm, designed for a snug fit. This wetsuit is equipped with long sleeves and features a zipper positioned on the chest. The chest zipper is a fantastic method to prevent water intrusion at the top of the wetsuit, effectively reducing occurrences of flush throughs around the neck.

• Aqua-A

Aqua-A is a solvent-free, water-based adhesive used across all Ion wetsuits.

• Seam reinforcements

To fortify stress points inside the wetsuit, Ion has included Melco tape for enhanced durability. Ion advises: “If the wetsuit is accidentally left in the trunk of your car on a hot day, the tape may begin to peel. Don't worry! Simply use an iron on the affected area, as the adhesive is reactivated by heat.”

• Contour Cut

Wetsuits that align with body contours promote flexibility and comfort. All Ion wetsuits feature a contour cut.

• Drain Holes

To prevent water build-up where fabrics overlap, drain holes are included. These drain holes maintain their size and do not enlarge.

• Internal Key Pocket

Inside the wetsuit, there is a key pocket designed to be water-resistant.

• GBS - Glued Blind Stitched

To effectively bond neoprene panels and achieve excellent water resistance, the panels are glued and then sewn together using blind stitches.

• Supra Tex

This fabric is utilized in more exposed sections of the wetsuit, such as the knee areas. Supra Tex fabric is recognized for its superior abrasion resistance.
