The Total Dot skateboard deck from Santa Cruz is a VX deck, crafted with just 5-plies of North American Hard Rock Maple, enhanced by 2-plies using Santa Cruz Quad X Technology (carbon/fibreglass).
Compared to typical 7-ply boards, VX decks offer greater strength and rigidity. If you encounter frequent deck breakage, the Total Dot may be the ideal solution for you.
Moreover, the Total Dot is both slightly lighter and significantly thinner than standard 7-ply decks. While it might initially feel somewhat unusual, it becomes incredibly impressive once accustomed to.
