These park skates from Chaya are top-tier quad roller skates featuring numerous technologies that Chaya has refined through their passion for Roller Derby.
The boot of the Jump skate showcases a high-cut leather/PU clad design with a mesh interior. Drawing significant inspiration from sneaker styles, the foam padded boot ensures comfort during prolonged wear. The lacing system is designed to secure the boot snugly around the foot, enhancing control.
The roller skates are equipped with Chaya's Shari plates, constructed using a combination of nylon and fibreglass for robust yet lightweight performance. Coupled with the 20° cast aluminium trucks and Jelly Interlock cushions, these skates offer excellent maneuverability and easy handling, making them enjoyable to skate.
The Octo Paseo wheels feature a soft, grippy 78A durometer. Combined with Wicked ABEC7 bearings, this results in an exceedingly smooth setup. If your intention is to exclusively use these skates for indoor derby, you might prefer harder wheels, which are better suited for that environment. The Controller toe stops make directional changes and stopping simple.
These skates are suitable for routine exercise skating outdoors. However, they truly shine in parks and on verts, where their full potential is unleashed. With the boot's mid-cut ankle length, they are also well-suited for Roller Derby beginners (although harder indoor wheels may be required).
