That’s a bummer, because wear and tear are practically guaranteed). And one more note: This model is better suited for narrow feet.

I had read that the shoe is fairly stiff and firm at the ankles and this is true. I have only just got them, but after 4x an hour of roller skating they already feel very nice. Firm and stable. I replaced the wheels with a slightly harder version and I also replaced the laces. Toe guards are recommended because every smudge you see on the suede, so without guards the toe stops will wear out quickly. The toe stops are height adjustable, which is super nice. All in all very nice roller skates for asphalt & skatepark. (Street & Rollerdisco not yet tested)
