Vastus Freebird Touring Skis

The Vastus Freebird are touring skis featuring a narrow waist. With a waist width of just 76mm, it’s clear that these lightweight skis are crafted for backcountry explorations.

A pair weighs merely 1900g, making mountain ascents easier. The balsa core, reinforced with a blend of glass and carbon, strikes an excellent balance between the lightweight requirements for touring and the powerful experience needed for downhill skiing on mountain back sides.

Vastus offers a short turning radius, only 17m, providing agility. When combined with a light rocker, both pivoting and stability are improved.

They are suitable for 90% off-piste and 10% on-piste usage.
