Attaching a BMX stem is straightforward. We have simplified it further with our straightforward video tutorial on Freestyle BMX stem installation:
- Position the stem onto the fork, ensuring there's a gap sufficient for the top cap to compress the stem onto the headset.
- If there's no adequate gap or if it's less than 2-3mm, place a spacer between the headset and stem.
- Grease the threads of your top cap and secure it using an Allen key.
- Ensure alignment of the front wheel and stem, then tighten the stem side bolts.
- Gradually tighten the side bolts while alternating between them to guarantee even tension.
And there you have it! With your stem set up, you can proceed to install your handlebars!
